The Life Coaching Specialist [LCS], formerly the Certified Life Coach certification, is one of ILCT’s internal certifications, and is primarily awarded to those who are pursuing the Professional Certified Coach credential after they have completed the 40-hour Foundational Course, the 20-hour ICF Core Competency course and the 20-hour Coaching Skills Practicum course, 3 of the required courses for that credential.
Since the courses required for the LCS must be taken sequentially, it takes approximately one year to complete the studies for the LCS. The cost for the three required courses is $4,950. The only additional cost is the book used in the Foundational course, Becoming a Professional Life Coach, by Dr. Patrick Williams.
Students can receive up to 7.0 hours of mentor coaching, included in the tuition that can be used towards ICF credentialing.
All courses are conducted via teleconferences.
All credits earned as you become a LCS will also count towards your pursuing credentialing with the International Coach Federation (ICF) or the Center for Credentialing and Education’s BCC.
You may also want to consider the ACC credential, awarded by the International Coach Federation.
