COURSE CSP
Do you want to take your coaching skills to a new level? Do you want to practice your coaching skills with a live client in a supportive small group environment? Would you like to have a notebook full of skills and aids on how and when to use them at your fingertips? Look no further. The Coaching Skills Practicum offers all this and more.
This course is composed of 14 sessions; the beginning class is an introduction; the ending class is a wrap-up of what has been learned. The remaining 12 sessions will be 1 ½ hours (90 minutes) and will provide students with the opportunity to coach a live client throughout the course, while enhancing your core competencies and learn additional coaching skills.
This course will provide opportunities for two observed coaching sessions for each student - one when you will receive verbal feedback from your instructor during class, and one session of individual feedback and discussion with your instructor.
In addition to attending class sessions, students will participate in one hour of peer coaching outside of class each week.
You will receive 1.5 hours of Mentor Coaching from this course which can be used when applying for ICF credentialing.
Frequency: This course is offered twice a year and has limited enrollment.
Foundations required, ICF Core Competency recommended
I found the Coaching Skills Practicum class such a great learning experience and wish it were longer!! It taught me the importance of bringing my intuition to the table as well as being more vulnerable as a coach and person in order to have really stimulating conversations with my clients full of "ah ha's" and authenticity.
