COURSE LC
Coaching professionals in corporate and nonprofit settings can be a unique and rewarding experience. A coach needs to understand the context of the business's business culture and goals and how coaching will enhance the leaders and the organizations they serve. This class is designed for coaches who want to further understand the nature and application of leadership coaching.
This interactive course focuses on understanding and skillfully applying psychosocial theories in leadership coaching conversations. It includes in-class practice coaching. Coaching tools, resources, and current trends are also discussed.
Another benefit of this course is that the final project is submitting a "Draft Request for Proposal" (RFP). This provides the opportunity to develop, present, and receive detailed feedback on a future leadership client proposal. Many former students agree this is the best part of the course.

Faculty Anne Shields, MS, BCC, PCC
I have taken two other courses on similar topics, one in another coaching program and one through Division 13 of the American Psychological Association. This course was by far the best. It was challenging, and also offered lots of practical advice and many tools for use in coaching for businesses and organizations.
- Mary Beth
Anne is very congenial and receptive. She is a timely and reliable communicator. She set a positive, and conversational vibe, supporting each of us with questions and candid thoughts. She checked in about our preferences and invited feedback. She maintained time checks to ensure that we all had sufficient time to share and give/receive support, and she has a facilitative style that allows for learning give and take by all partipante. She identified herself as a learner along with us.
- H.M.
The teacher was very genuine, respectful, inclusive, and thoughtful. The format allowed insights/experiences/sharing from class-members, which was engaging and great for hearing different perspectives and building camaraderie.
