We hope this finds you well and enjoying life, especially after the last few years. For ILCT, 2022 has been a year where the focus, in part, has been of reaccrediting our program and we are very pleased to report that we continue to be one of the highest accredited programs.
For most of you, these changes won’t make a difference in your journey to be a credentialed coach but we wanted to let you know.
BCC
If you are pursuing a 30, 60 or 120 hour BCC, we have a new title, Registered Credential Training Provider, but everything else remains the same. As before, unless noted in the course description, all our courses will count to obtain your BCC or to maintain it with the required CEU’s.
ICF
The biggest change occurs with those applying for an ICF credential, especially the ACC. Beginning today, students who have or are working to complete the required 60 hours of coach training and 10 hours of mentor coaching for the ACC will apply to ILCT for their oral examination, instead of submitting your recording to the ICF. This should significantly shorten the wait times that many have experienced under the previous process, but unfortunately, it does not apply to those who have submitted their recordings to ICF already. You can read more about the requirements here and if you have any questions, please let us know.
For those who have graduated from our program (130 hours of coach training + our Graduation Exercises) but have not yet gone into the ICF to apply, please contact Kelly (kelly@lifecoachtraining.com) and she will provide you with the new Level 2 Certificate of Completion.
And finally, if you are pursuing an ICF credential through the Portfolio Path because your training was completed through more than one program, that will still be an option, and you can request a Certificate of Partial Completion for the hours done at ILCT.
NAADAC
Our Continuing Education credit approval with the National Association for Alcohol and Addiction Counselors has been renewed, so if you are a licensed helping professional who needs CEU’s, check with your state board to see whether they approve NAADAC.
We’re proud of our program, our students and faculty, so thank you. As always, if you have any questions, any time, please reach out to us.
