Susie Strauss, MSW, BCC. Is the former Executive Director/Founder of One to One Women Coaching Women, a non-profit that provides coaching at no cost to women in the US and Canada who come from challenging backgrounds and situations. In the true coaching fashion, she saw a need and conceived of a very big idea for how to fill it. Susie’s commitment to helping people realize their dreams is a thread that runs throughout her life and career and is reflected in the work she has done as a life coach, a therapist, and in the many civic activities in which she has taken part in Birmingham, Alabama, her former home state.
Susie earned a Masters in Social Work from the University of Georgia and is a graduate of the Falling Awake School of Life Coaching and the Institute for Life Coach Training; where she is currently part of the faculty. She conducts various coaching workshops and maintains a private life coaching practice. An avid weaver, she is a juried member of the Alabama Designers and Craftsmen organization and a board member of the Greater Birmingham Fiber Guild. She presently is co-partner of Nansū Home, a socially responsible company that imports hand-woven household items from Guatemala utilizing Susie’s weaving designs and made with organic cotton and natural dyes. Susie has three adult children and now lives in Colorado.
