Among a nation of individuals who label themselves “Christian,” less than 10% are biblical Christians who live by or make decisions using God’s guide book.
Various researchers, including George Barna, who have surveyed Christians extensively, note that people of faith have a longing for a deeper experience of God in their daily lives. Many state that their traditional experiences in church and other Christian activities have not provided the satisfaction of their deepest needs to love and serve God in authentic ways. Furthermore, they experience daily confusion and temptations, as they are bombarded by the lures of a chaotic culture. Working with a Christian life coach opens the opportunity for the Holy Spirit to do transformational work in the life of these coachees.
Jesus asked a powerful question, “What will it profit a person if he/she gains the whole world and loses his soul?” During our class sessions, we will examine a series of powerful questions which speak to coachee’s spiritual needs and use Scripture, assessment tools, and spiritual disciplines to aide coachees in their discernment and discovery, as well as action and application, toward growth in spiritual maturity. Each session of the 10 hour course will include pre and post session reading and assignments, including coaching practice. Tools, exercises, and extensive references are included in this course to provide ongoing resources for the Christian life coach.
