This certificate program
requires a minimum of 40 hours of coach training
as well as the two courses listed below, and
is designed specifically for professionals who want
to specialize in relationship coaching.
Relationship
Coaching with Couples
This is the first course which meets for 12 hours. This
eight-week course builds on the learning from the Foundational course
and provides a coaching model and structure for working with couples
who want to create more fulfilling relationships in their lives.
The format for the course includes discussion of course materials
and assigned readings, live coaching to demonstrate different ways
to apply the learning with clients, and practice coaching outside
of the scheduled class time. The course meets weekly for 90 minutes.
Participants will:
Gain an in-depth understanding of a conscious relationship
coaching model for working with couples
Design a coaching alliance with each client/partner
and with couples
Create a personal vision with client/partner as
well as a shared relationship vision with each couple
Utilize Mirroring technique for effective communication
Establish and implement an action plan with couples
to achieve the relationship vision
Gain a greater understanding of the role of coach
in working with couples, particularly being authentic
and present; and ways to "'self-manage" during
your coaching sessions with couples.
Advanced Relationship Coaching Skills
This is the second course of the RCS Certificate,
which meets for eight hours over six weeks. The course
provides participants with an opportunity to practice
in greater depth the relationship coaching skills
learned in the second course. Each meeting will involve
live coaching with either an actual couple or a role-play
situation designed to assist participants in gaining
greater confidence and competence in relationship
coaching.
This 20-hour advanced certificate program,
designed specifically for
coaching professionals who have completed either
the ILCT Coaching Foundation Course or an equivalent
course from another coaching school, consists of two courses.
(If you are interested in taking the course
and have other qualifications, contact Lisa
Kramer directly.) The certificate is recognized
by the International Coach Federation (ICF)
for 20 hours of Continuing Coach Education (CCE)
Credit.
The first course is a 12
hour advanced course that focuses exclusively on relationship
coaching with couples (see description above). The second
course is an eight hour advanced skills practicum that
provides participants with an opportunity
to practice in greater depth the relationship
coaching skills learned in the first course (see description above).
